AL/NL Division Leaders Get Swept

The Rangers completed a three game sweep of the Angels and the Nationals swept the Mets. The Angels are coasting to the playoffs. The Mets with a one game lead are looking over their shoulders at the hard charging Phillies.

The Angels lead the American League and MLB with 12 series sweeps throughout the 2007 season. The Rangers avenged a 2007 season opening series sweep by the Angels.

The Nationals re-established their bragging rights over the Mets who had swept the Nationals on August 19, 2007.
